What a week!

Wow it's been a crazy week! It has been snowing like crazy with temperatures well below freezing with over a foot of snow on the ground. We had a good Thanksgiving, Jeremy's sister and her boyfriend came over as well as Jeremy's cousin and his kids. Jeremy's parents were supposed to join us but with this crazy weather they were not able to make it. I spent all day cooking and I have to say the turkey turned out perfect! The mashed potatoes on the other hand tasted good but were a little lumpy because the mixer started smoking on me, so I was unable to finish mixing them :( It was a lot of work getting everything ready by myself with a 1 year old running around but everything worked out and dinner was a success :)

Yesterday we had to make a trip to the ER for Ava, She had a temperature of 104.2 and was not eating or drinking so the nurse told us to come in. They took some blood and gave her an IV, she purked right up after she got the IV too. She just has a viral infection which we are very thankful for and that it's not anything worse. Once we left the ER her temp. went down to 99.6, phew! She did wake up this morning with another temp. of 104.6 and throughout the day has been running a temp but it finally came down to 101.4 and has been staying there for most of the evening. Hopefully tonight we can all get a good nights sleep and wake up in the morning with no temp. and not so tired parents!

Here are some pictures of Ava with the IV in her arm. I think the IV was harder on mom than it was for Ava. She is such a strong little girl!

And to leave on a happier note, here is Ava in the bath...she loves her baths!

  2. Poor little thing! I can only imagine how hard it was on you as well, watching her get the IV. We're praying she is back to feeling like herself very soon! Love, JJ&K
